What is TL9000 ?
TL9000 requirements were developed by the QuEST forum (The Quality
Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications Leadership). The QuEST
forum used ISO9000 as a baseline for the existing industry standards
and practices in developing the TL9000.requirements. The development
of sector-specific requirements for hardware, software and services
quality system and metrics requirements is an essential part of TL9000.

 |
software development and life-cycle management, |

 |
requirements to address the unique continuing

TL9000 Model:
Benchmarking by QuEST & University of Texas
at Dallas:
QuEST Forum establishes a central database for all TL9000-registered
organizations to submit specific metrics data for benchmarking purposes.
This is maintained by the University of Texas at Dallas, which is
independent of the QuEST Forum, and is administered by the American
Society for Quality.
